Were We Really Just Rapidly Acquiring A Classic Ford Mustang

I really haven’t much had time to write on the web site quite as often as I might like, because of all the time I have been running around town with my Dad manage his incredibly wacky midlife crisis. True, you might think it’s not quite as nuts as it could possibly be. You see, what he did was he got all done up like the Fonz, and storm over to my apartment and proclaim to me, in his “coolest” possible vocal tone: “Hop in, boy, we are going to be vying for some classic Mustangs for sale. That’s right, youngster, I’m going to make this thing happen.”

Next thing I know him and me went out to a couple of those creepy classic car showrooms that most people are mostly certain are not quite on the up and up, and I can’t believe it when the old man wrote a check within just a few minutes, for an extremely shiny classic car. I have to admit, it’s one hell of a purchase. It sounded amazing as well.

Notice that I wrote that last sentence in a past tense. It sounded great until it became silent. Dad informs me that it’s a really quick thing to fix and he just needs to find the right part. Of course, it may not be as painless to locate 1969 Mustang parts as it was over a million years ago, but my pop tells me there’s a pretty good-sized aftermarket for them regardless. Apparently the best place to find parts for classic Ford Mustangs is via internet auctions, because you can get them refurbbed and occasionally as good as new. They might not be that inexpensive, though… Think about it, we’re talking about 30-year-old classic car parts.

Could be worse, though… He could’ve gone and found a mail-order bride.
