You must keep some kind of plan set in motion to stay at your new weight so you will not become overweight in the future. This is the one thing most people forget that causes them to believe that their weight loss program failed them. A diet is only designed to get the weight off but not permanently. With a moderate workout and a change in your eating habits will help you with that.
So now today is the day. Not tomorrow or next holiday. Decide that you want to drop that weight now so you will not end up just delaying for later. This will be the best decision you ever made.
