Site owners on the world wide web use article directories to gain both web traffic and backlinks for their website or blog. Marketers are likely to sign up for a bunch. But I have noticed that most article directories will let you publish articles with just a log in id and password while others want your full address. So I just thought that why would an article directory need your address? What purpose do they want with it?
Well some article directories will mail you free stuff from time to time like glasses, t-shirts and notepads with their company name on it. Are you going to use any of that stuff? No way.
I could see if the article directory were going to buy your article by check then it would make sense. But I do not know of any article directories that pays.
Then there are directories that sell your address to businesses that will send you junk mail and such. Have you created an account for a bunch of article directories and discovered an increase in junk mail? That is probably how you you got it.
They surely not coming over your house to visit you. Eat dinner and become you best friend and keep you company. So why do they ask for your address? Who truely knows the answer but I would not give them my home address until I checked them out farther.
They are free article directory and they should ask for unique articles and not your residence. The deal is that authors give you articles and in return you get free links to your page and some new visitors. Where that person live should not matter. If they dislike your article then they can simply reject it and they do not need your address to do that. They are not going to send the article cops to my home right?
